Abstract
This work focuses on visualizing climate, weather, and ocean data to improve the general public’s understanding of catastrophic events, such as hurricanes. We present three examples. We also discuss challenges that include choosing appropriate visualization techniques for the target audience and visualizing multiple datasets that are not seamlessly aligned.
