Abstract
We present an ongoing project of interactively visualizing the content of a relational database. Our approach assumes a relational database management system as the data source provider. Users can directly interact with database content via executing SQL statements. The results of query execution can be mapped into different graphic representations to help users navigating and understanding the query results. This approach leverages the optimization of the existing database query engines for data processing to reduce the computation requirements of the visualization process. Here we show the effectiveness of our approach with examples from three different datasets.
